With construction complete and nearly all finishing work finalized, Bridger Pipeline LLC began filling the Equality Pipeline with oil. The project began in late 2019 and the last weld was completed in August 2020.
Finishing work to be completed includes reseeding approximately 10 miles of right-of-way and hydro-testing the final mainline segment of the 193-mile pipeline. The line is divided into 13 segments, 12 of which have completed hydro-testing. The final hydro-test is scheduled to be complete on October 20.
“This is a terrific accomplishment and a really big deal for our company,” said Tad True, vice president of Bridger Pipeline LLC. “I am proud of our entire team of employees and contractors who got this line built during some really tough times.”
Construction on the 20-inch Equality line began in November 2019. The project’s prime contractor is Loenbro, based in Great Falls, Montana. The line is capable of transporting about 200,000 barrels a day of crude oil from Hulett, WY to Guernsey.
